At YOR Dental, we are committed to complete transparency when it comes to how we deliver our services. This page explains our Terms and Conditions for all businesses operating under the YOR brand. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
These Terms & Conditions explain how YOR Dental, Skin & Wellness Clinic (“YOR”, “we”, “us”), trading name of Dental at MediaCityUK Ltd, quotes fees, agrees treatment plans, and takes payment across our three pillars: YOR Dental, YOR Skin and YOR Wellness. They apply to every patient from the point a treatment plan or price estimate is issued, and form part of the agreement between you and the practice alongside your signed consent forms and, where relevant, your Practice Plan membership agreement.
Please read this document alongside your individual treatment plan. If anything here conflicts with a specific written agreement signed by you and the practice, the specific agreement takes priority for that treatment.
- An initial consultation or examination is required before any treatment plan or firm quotation can be issued. Diagnostic requirements (x-rays, scans, photographs, blood tests) may be necessary before we can confirm suitability or price.
- Treatment plans are based on the clinical presentation at the time of assessment. Findings during treatment (for example, decay found once a filling is prepared, or a root canal system that proves more complex than expected) may change the plan and the fee, and we will always aim to discuss this with you before proceeding.
- Where a treatment coordinator (TCO) supports your journey, any figures or plans they discuss with you are estimates until confirmed in writing by a treating clinician.
- Our published Treatment Fee Guide sets out indicative pricing across dental, skin and wellness treatments, including private bloods and diagnostic testing. Prices in the fee guide are shown as “from” figures and represent the starting price for the most straightforward case; your personal quotation may differ once your consultation is complete.
- All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£)
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing. Fees are reviewed periodically and may increase between your consultation and the start of treatment if a quotation has expired.
- Complex, multi-stage or combination treatments (for example, aligners with hygiene therapy, or dental work alongside skin treatment) will be quoted as a itemised treatment plan showing each component separately.
Before treatment begins, you will be given a written treatment plan setting out the proposed treatment, the sequence of appointments, the total estimated fee, and the payment schedule. Treatment will only proceed once you have given informed consent, which includes confirming you understand and accept the associated costs.
- Where a treatment plan spans multiple visits or phases (for example, orthodontics, implants, or a course of skin treatments), fees may be broken down by stage or payable in instalments as set out in your plan.
- If you wish to change, pause or stop an agreed treatment plan partway through, please speak to your treatment coordinator or clinician as early as possible — fees already incurred for completed stages, laboratory work already commissioned, and clinical time already provided remain payable. In majority of cases part refunds are not possible and the full fee is payable.
- Orthodontic and aligner treatment plans (Spark and other systems) set out the total course fee, any retainer and review fees, and how in-progress adjustments to the plan (e.g. additional aligner stages) will be charged.
- A deposit may be required to confirm certain appointments or to commission laboratory work, implant components, or aligner manufacturing. Deposits are non-refundable once clinical or laboratory work has been commissioned on your behalf, except where required by law.
- Full payment for same-day treatment is due at the time of your appointment, unless you hold an agreed payment plan.
- For treatment delivered over multiple visits, payment is due at each stage as set out in your treatment plan, or in line with any agreed instalment or drip-feed payment schedule.
- We accept payment by card (except Amex), bank transfer and, where arranged, approved third-party finance. Outstanding balances not settled within the agreed terms may be referred to a payment collection process; please talk to Kirby in Finance if you are experiencing difficulty meeting a payment so we can discuss options.
- YOR’s membership plans (Oral Wellness, Oral Wellness Plus, Oral & Skin Wellness, Oral & Skin Wellness Plus, Wellness Journey and Infinite Wellness Journey) are collected by monthly direct debit, subject to a one-off £9.50 admin fee and a minimum 6-month membership term.
- Membership includes the specific benefits set out in your plan (exams, hygiene visits, screening, and a 10% discount on additional treatment, excluding cosmetic treatment) and does not cover the cost of treatment itself unless expressly stated.
- Membership may be cancelled after the minimum term with notice as set out in your Practice Plan agreement of 6 months. Missed direct debit payments may result in a pause or loss of membership benefits until the account is brought up to date.
- We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice (72 hours for longer appointments, including implant surgery, orthodontic fittings and multi-hour skin/wellness procedures) if you need to cancel or rearrange.
- Missed appointments or cancellations with insufficient notice may incur a cancellation fee, and any deposit paid towards that appointment may be forfeited where clinical time or laboratory work had already been committed.
- Persistent late arrival or missed appointments may affect our ability to guarantee appointment availability under your treatment plan or membership.
We will always explain the realistic aims, benefits, risks and limitations of a proposed treatment before you consent to it. Dentistry, skin treatment and wellness therapies are outcomes of biological processes and cannot be guaranteed in the way a manufactured product can be.
- Where a treatment carries a specific warranty or aftercare guarantee (for example, on certain restorative or implant work), this will be confirmed in writing separately and is conditional on attending recommended reviews and maintenance appointments.
- If your outcome differs from what was planned, please raise this with us as early as possible so we can assess it clinically and discuss next steps, including whether any adjustment or remedial treatment is appropriate.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your treatment, fees or experience with us, please contact the practice at pm@yordental.co.uk in the first instance so we can look into it. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and respond fully once we have reviewed your case, which may include seeking advice from the treating clinician where appropriate.
Your personal and clinical information is held securely and used in accordance with our Privacy Notice and UK data protection law. Financial information relating to your account is shared only with those who need it to deliver your care or process payment.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in this document limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
